First Memorial Funeral Services®, located at 1155 Fort Street in Victoria on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, was opened to the public in 1989 to accompany the existing location in Saanich. This has allowed for greater travel convenience and more choice for the client families. Formerly Cunninghams Funeral Chapel and, before that, Chaplins Funeral Services, the building, although older, was renovated to facilitate the general populace of the area.

Our funeral home accommodates all religious needs at either our comfortable chapel or at a selected church.

Over the years, and as times change, so have the particular needs of the families we serve. Following the more formal part of ceremonies, many people like to have a more relaxed time with their family and friends. Therefore, First Memorial Funeral Services Victoria has added a beautiful reception room to the facility, which is adjacent to the chapel for convenience. This room has been designed in an upbeat fashion with a bright Mediterranean décor and a natural skylight. An outside courtyard was also constructed with tables and benches for those finer days.

First Memorial Funeral Services on Fort Street is situated just five blocks from the centre of downtown Victoria, with its beautiful shops and restaurants, famous buildings, busy harbour and, of course, its world-famous flowers.
